Visconti Mirage Mythos series continues its exploration of Greek mythology with Demeter and Persephone. Demeter was the goddess of agriculture and harvests; Persephone was her daughter. Persephone was abducted by Hades, and became Queen of the underworld.
An agreement for her to spend six months of each year with Hades, away from Demeter, was thought to be the origin of our seasons, with Demeter refusing to tend to the earth's fertile ground while her daughter was away from her.
Variegated purple resin barrel with dark blue mixed in to evoke the duality of Persephone's life, split between the heavens and Earth, and the darkness of the underworld.
The cap secures to the barrel by means of a subtle twist and snap mechanism, thanks to a hidden magnet within the cap. It features the characteristic 'bridge' sprung pocket clip inscribed with 'Visconti' and the trim is engraved with 'Mythos'.
