The Blackwing 343 is a tribute to broadcast television, with the colours of the stripes along the pencils coming from the colour bar of the NTSC test pattern that was used in the US, among other places. The model number 343, a reference to the 343 scanlines on early CRT televisions, and is imprinted with a “TV snow” silver holographic foil.
